honestly, I think the 2000-2006 and 2017-present are the best time for games.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

The 1990's was undoubtedly the best decade for video games... (FF4, FF6, FF7, A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Xenogears, Gran Turismo, Mortal Kombat 3, Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Secret of Mana, Tekken 2, Sonic 1, 2, & 3, Parasite Eve, Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, Diablo, StarCraft, Warcraft 2, EverQuest, Golden Eye, Super Mario 64, Killer Instinct Gold, TMNT In Time, Fallout, Chrono Cross, Croc: Legend of the Gobos, Rayman, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot 1, 2, & 3....

Yeah, the 90's had heavy hitters..

Considering the unprecedented choice there is now, the amount of high quality games and the powerful processors that allow for sophisticated graphics, and the final nail to this coffin, the fact we now have access to all that came before, in remasters, or simply by keeping old copies of games whereas in the past we couldn't have any kind of access to games from now, obviously.
So without any doubt, this present decade is the best.
