The screen should have been bigger

Port-ability. ;)

Seriously though, Switch is more of a powerful handheld with additional functionality that makes it home console as well (Nintendo did a great job marketing it other way around, so they can sell games for $60 instead of $40) - so really there's no mystery why it's selling as good as it does.

As much as I'm not too keen on actual execution, I think it's very good concept for people who care about portability.

I mean, you would have to do some really good convincing that games like Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda BotW, Xenoblade 2, and even Mario + Rabbids should have launch prices of $40 like a 3DS/Vita game. Maybe games like ARMS or (at launch) Splatoon 2, but the others I've mentioned, eh...

I mean, if Zelda BotW was already full price $60 on Wii U, what makes it $40 on Switch?

I don't know... It's like asking why is the PS4 selling so well? I guess cause it's what people wants.

Nothing, it's $60 game - that's why I said they positioned it as home console that can be handheld as well, though the other way around may be more true - if they were marketing it as handheld first, people would expect to pay $40 for games.
