It's an odd family tradition at best and an awkward uncomfortable occasion at worst, it really doesn't mean anything.

In this day and age, I'd be terrified to hug my children if I had any.

I'm against kissing individuals the same gender as me (male). I don't care if you're my son. Not happening. On the forehead or cheek....more likely to happen.
