13 & 17 could be 8000 & 7000 units for a total of 15,000

Now lets say NPD figures for January are

That would make the Amazon % of NPD totals the same for each console which would result in no bias.

This is only something to consider. You don't need to keep repeating it like it totally disproves the bias theory. 

It also works the other way. A lot of Nintendo fans in here are saying the Switch is destroying PS4 or dominating. I presume these people made these assumptions by putting weight to the rankings but yet you want to single out the people that think there is a bias by, guess what, putting weight on to the rankings. 

It's funny that some of these people are keen to disprove the bias theory by agreeing with you but yet put weight on rankings themselves to push how much better the Switch is doing.

I don't mind people actually claiming they believe the Switch is doing so much better but I do mind the hypocrisy.

I think, looking at the positions on Amazon sometimes it would be easy to get carried away and think the Switch is going to win by lots but what seems to be the case here is it's only reliable as an indicator. In the scheme of things, it's not reliable as per actual numbers. It's a good indicator of who will "win" but not as an indicator of how much by. The figures/placements can often be misleading, i agree.

It never has and it never will. Why are we still having this discussion after all these years? Amazon only predicts the positions, not the sales ratios. 

Hopefully this puts an end to the comments saying switch will win easy. Because despite winning by big margins on amazon its not reflected on npd.

Going by Nov-Dec it appears there is a bias, however these months are probably the toughest to get a clear picture on anyway. Although in close months, if Switch is ahead it doesn't always seem to "win" NPD. I expect after LABO buying habits to change a little though and maybe Amazon will give us an even clearer picture then.

Yeah it does look like that, and people in the amazon thread have been saying stuff like "switch is destroying the competition"
Now NPD is out and the win is maybe ~20k over the PS4.... not exactly destroying its competition if its winning by like 8-10%.
