its affected only on amazon, it won't make a difference on NPD. People that say it does are really reaching.
It seems that Amazon JP is now out of stock of switches. The price went up to ￥ 41,000 from other retailers. How long did it take to empty their inventory?

Hey, genius, I'll give you some basic math:
This final quarter, Sony ships 2.5M units. That makes roughly 200k units per week.
Currently, PS4s are selling at a rate of 250k per week (and will likely not be lower in the next weeks due to MHW effect).
See how PS4 is actually depleting existing stock at a rate of around 50k units? And if a company doesn't have stock lying around (like Amazon, apprently), they are going to have empty shelves in a few weeks...
