I know it's a silly question, but did you make sure that your cooler was dry? Using water has its dangers...

It was fine.

Ok.

Please excuse my bad English.

I disassembled everything again. This time I even used the stupid plastic thingy around the CPU while you install it. Of course that didn't change anything. Currently I got only The board with the CPU and the 2 ATX connectors on the board. It lights up, the fan works but It won't start POST. Tried with and without RAM. Even connected a beeper but that isn't doing anything.

It all means that the CPU is not doing anything. So it could either be PSU, CPU or mainboard itself. I'm gonna stop for today and try again tomorrow evening when my new PSU arrives. If it's still the same bullshit I'm gonna call the support.

I'd be more pissed if I actually needed the PC right now. Just one more reason that it's a good idea to have 2 fully functioning PCs. So right now I'm at least not affected at all.

Have you checked the motherboard's pins?
Maybe one or more are bent.

I want to replace the old PSU anyway. That's like 4 years old now.

My PSU is from May 2009, so almost 9 years daily usage, but it's a good one OCZ 700 watt 80 plus certified. I think OCZ are not in the business anymore lol

My Etsy store

My Ebay store

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Checked the pins, looked fine to me. But even with a bent pin it should do something, right?

I've played around with the jumpers a bit. Currently I have the CMOS battery disconnected. I mean it could still be that the BIOS is completely fucked up.

Gonna check in on it tomorrow again.

Old things are bad and you cannot trust them. Also I need different PSUs for every build. This one is currently a 300W PSU that once powered an i3. Now it will have to do an i5 and 1050ti. PSUs are really cheap so it's fine.

Well, Amazon decided to not ship today, so I guess I will have a free weekend.

First, I don't see much of a difference here, it's just another cuboid. How many 3.5" HDDs does it support? Oh, none? What is it even good for then?

Secondly, really? Black? What year is it, 2002?

Mine is mineral grey and orange.

I use SSD's, living in the 21st century.
