you know that ''PS3 takes over 360 by Feb 2009 .''

means that the PS3 needs to outsell the 360 with 600.000 units every month including this april right..

^Both PSX and PS2 sold over 100 million in their console generations. PS3 will definitely sell over 100 million hardware when its finished in 8 years time.

Okay, I am starting to get a CrazzyMan vibe from you. You are seriously delusional. Using you logic we'd all still be playing Atari systems right now. The PS3 isn't selling over 88 million units in the next 79 months.

I don't think so ether, but the PS3 is tracking the PS2 in sales from launch, so there is nothing yet to indicate that it won't.

No it isn't. The only place the PS3 is tracking near the PS2 is Europe. The PS3 is will behind the PS2 in Japanese and North American sales at this point.

The PS2 does take a huge jump in a few months, so Sony will have to do something soon if it wants to keep on the curve (like a price drop), but it's holding it's own well. I understand the timed releases effect that chart, but as of today, the PS3 is selling on par with the PS2 this far in it's life. That can not be disputed.

Now, will it take off and spike like the PS2 did a few more months in it's life? Who knows (I am going to guess no), but we don't need to debate it, we can just wait a few months and see what happens :)

ms arnt profiting from the 360. all that cash is going towards the RROD.

Microsoft set aside the RRoD costs almost a year ago. It's a sunk cost. Right now, they're making money and that's what matters.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

No, the 360 isn't in trouble. They should be a little more aggressive though. However, I think people need to realize that, with the user base being as big as it is, considerably (and consistently) higher sales this year, the success publishers have seen with going multi-platform, any increase by either the 360 or PS3 is good for both. Lets face it, outside the 1st parties and a half-dozen exclusives, both systems are getting the same games. Taken as a whole, it would be disastrous for HD gaming for one system to "die".
