Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox E3 Briefing Will Include "Positive Changes" This Year

Damn, I expected negative changes. Well played, Phil.

They're already talking about E3 plans months in advance. Gamers can't play E3. It's time to talk up the releases currently on the slate.

So we are going to see exclusives?

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

I took a break from early this gen and recently came back. I own a One...4....and New3dsxl...love all of them.

Anyway...it really is shocking to see some of the quotes about MS potentially abandoning gaming....?....really???....

People have genuinely forgotton how aggressive MS can be in the gaming world. They mean business. I would even go as far as to say they might even be around longer than both Sony and Nintendo...hardware wise.

I need to make a thread about the general consensus of the One....but I don't post often and I don't feel like spamming

I'm predicting the launch of a new sku:

XBoxOne XBox, Microsoft's answer to the insanely popular Nintendo Labo.

I really don't see them being around longer than Sony or Nintendo, as far as console hardware goes.  Their audience fell too greatly this gen.

Best Year Ever.

Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, and Crackdown 3 are all scheduled for Q1-Q2 2018 right now. I'd hardly call that a barren desert, lol.

Thanks ! Looks somewhat promising but let's wait and see the verdicts.

But aren't State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 only stated to release in 2018 ? They could be released in the 2nd half for all we know.

The future doesn't look so much bright ...

That's why they're talking up E3. They want to restore faith in XBO's future.

There's a few reasons why I believe they will...but the most important reason is money. History has shown MS take advantage of both software and hardware peripherals. Money. They can be aggressive with collaboration. (Rare) Money. They look toward innovation which requires investment. Money. They continue to revamp skus despite poor sales. Money.

I'm under the impression MS has a bigger picture in mind. They aren't concerned with the now...but rather the future...and they always have been since day one releasing a console that was pc driven. Which they do not get nearly enough credit for.

What they're doing is a technology rope-a-dope. They. have enough money to wait for the collapse of competition...and capitalize in the long run...and I truly believe that is part of their strategy.
