Youtube know-it-alls are the absolute worst.

Go back and play a collection of 80s or 90s games and you'll find some truly remarkable titles in a sea of garbage. The whole industry crashed because of the junk the 2600 was cranking out. People don't talk about how many old games were badly designed. Watch most of Angry Video Game Nerd to see how many games then were In time we will look back at this era and the 5% of games that were great and say "In the 2010s they knew what they were doing, this 2030s stuff is all crap!"

Anybody who has watched at least half the video should have understood that the guy presents some good points as to why "AAA" walk forward to win simulators are just not fun. Unless you like running from point A to B to C to watch scripted events, again and again that is.

But naturally,the comments we get instead are "hurr hurr, youtube video bad, durr durr", and comments completely unrelated to the games talked about in the video.

Seems like your regular "hardcore" gamer. There is so much diversity these days that everyone can find something to play. The issue these days of problem of plenty, rather than the opposite.

Edit: Watched the whole video. Some of the issues presented are indeed there but there is choice. You don't have to play Star Wars Crapfront 2 if you want deep engaging gameplay. There are tons of other games for that. It is like saying the movies these days are all super hero crap. Yes, those are the big money makers but there are tons of quality movies for cinema lovers.
