Why there is so many post talking about KH making PS4 sell good this holiday if KH3 is to release with luck at the end of 2018

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

If we take PS3 and PSP figures as an indicators, then both of those consoles had their peaks in year 4, which PS4 just passed. In year 5 we'll see either the same numbers or slight drop, but I seriously doubt that PS4 will reach 100 million mark by the end of 2018. It should reach 110 million by end of 2019 and 130M LTS.

because basically i haven't seen a nintendo console sell on the power of nintedo games alone amazing in the US. except for the DS, which i already gave good reasons why it will never happen again due to mobile tech where it is now. nintedo first party just doesn't have the mass appeal to get them over 30 million in the US, out of there 4 home consoles, only the one with motion controls did amazing. thats why i believe switch doesnt have a chance to out sell ps4.

Still no parallels explained to the Switch and GameCube/Wii U. Plus, you must have been hibernating during the Wii era, the defined period when a console sold on the power of Nintendo's properties. I know you'll eliminate that as "well motion controls, urp_nurp a fad". Remember, said controls would have been far less valuable in regards to other consoles' properties (evidenced by the fact no other machine saw the massive success the Wii did based on that feature).

Thus, I keep the viewpoint. The possibility of the Switch catching the PS4 in the US remains valid.

How? switch did it first, and by the time the other's came out with it. it was a dying concept. kinect saw massive success for a while because it was different. you think  nintedo ip sold wii why wouldn't they sell wiiu, n64, or GC tot hat insane level.

nes and super nes were the playstation of the 2d consoles. the entire industry was making games for them, that changed with the n64 and  third party support stayed weak since then. N64 started out super strong and so is switch in the US, i don't see why its such a huge difference.

You do realize Switch is heavily outpacing N64 in the US, right?

again if you look at the shadow  graph, and compare consoles properly, you would see it's not. holiday console launches can't be compared to a post holiday launch.

Neither of them had a holiday launch

shadow did a good fair comparison, and it showed n64 was close.

Sure, its a fine comparison, doesnt change the fact that launches aligned Switch is beating N64 by a wide margin

It took 12 months for N64 to sell 3.6 million in the US.

Switch is at 4.8m after 10 months so if it will be roughly 50% ahead of N64 after 12 months.

quickrick will sell his left kidney just to prove his point of Switch failing

pretty sure the console was sold out during the first holidays in the US. launch aligned is way over  rated if the comparison is not proper.
