if you make me mod i could ban Rol for totally going offtopic and not mention the VG$ at all. i wouldn't ban him from the prediction league tho, i would get a personal satisfaction when everyone sees how terrible of an oracle Rol actually is

VG$ existed before and were used first and foremost in a sales prediction league where people could place bets on their forecasted numbers. I never participated, but VG$ could also be earned via forum activity. Looks like the feature was merely put on hold when it was disabled some years ago and now it has been reinstated from the depths of the website's code, so the virtual money of old users is still all there. Newer users start at 1,000 which is the same amount that everyone back then started with.

Back then bans did cost VG$ for real. Not to pay your way out, but as additional punishment to jail time.
