Forums - Nintendo - IGN plays Force Unleashed on Wii - and LOVE it! Fans rejoice!

Once again my early faith placed in this game proves justified.

I wonder if Yoda gave chrome a pep talk:

Chrome: "Yeah we're gonna try to make the controls awesome!"
Yoda: ""No! [force chokes the guy] Try not! Do, or do not. There is no try!"

Then he would glare at the rest of the dev team and I bet they'd be motivated, I know I wouldn't wanna get force choked by Yoda =P

1:1 but with certain blocking and special abilities in place would work just fine...but I don't need 1:1 to make it fun...it'd probably more fun for everyone if it just has a standard system of moves instead "move however the hell you want."

Basically...if it's anything remotely like Jedi Knight II and III, I will definitely buy this game.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I kinda wish they would toss in 1:1 as an optional advanced control scheme just to make folks happy. People would play with it and get bored and go back to the normal setup...well most people some crazy bastard would actually use it to learn to sword fight and then go on a killing spree and then Nintendo would get blamed by the mass pressteria.

How un-Yoda-like! Yoda would never use the Force in such an aggressive way unless defending his or other's lives. Yoda likes to show off and humiliate people to motivate them, not Force choke them. The guy's a saint.....that likes to show off and embarass people.

Back on topic, as long as the game is fun and doesn't look like crap, I'm in. I'm just sick off all the secret Force users and Jedis they've inserted into the timelines in all these game and books. Mara Jade and that whole circus act comes to mind. It's almost like you really shouldn't feel old Kenobi and Luke were that damn special, seeing as how everyone and their mother was apparently using the Force. Of course this stuff isn't canon, but just knowing it isn't canon sort of diminishes the enitire experience for me.

Were this a non starwars jedi game, I'd put the Wii version at the bottom of the pack sales wise, only ahead of the PSP version.

But all the net love of waggle force is quite the monkey wrench in the prediction gears. I still think the 360 and Ps2 versions will outsell it by a fairly high amount though.

Are you talking worldwide or NA only? I'm pretty sure that the Wii version will outsell the PS3 and 360 versions worldwide as time goes by. I'm not so sure about who will come out on top in NA. Still, the Wii version could turn out to be crap, which would hinder it's long-term sales.

PS2 could be a crapshoot. I've noticed quite a few PS2 games don't compare as well to the other system's games these days. But, Guitar Hero 3 for the PS2 crushed all the other versions. I realize there are a lot of PS2 owners who already have the guitars, but it does show that there are still a lot of active PS2 users out there.

I'm going with 360 version barely edging it out, PS3 and PS2 versions will not sell as well as the Wii version.

That's just a prediciton, of course.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I see this game selling more on the 360 thank any other console, call it a hunch but that's what I think.

For me personally I'd pick either the 360 or PS3 for the graphics, and just to see the euphoria engine at work along with all their other fancy physics systems there putting in the game, I'm sure the gameplay will very good, so in this case the wii and it's wiimote can take a back seat, well at least for me.

I may have to upgrade this from a meh... title to a must check out. The way IGN describes their time with it has piqued my interest.

Plus the graphics are looking sharp, finally seems people are starting to tap into the Wii's power!
