Amazon is the only place that you can "pre order" something and cancel it with no fee.

If you pre-ordered the game you got a beta code. Otherwise it was a closed beta.

In essence a ton of people may have ordered a game that they can then cancel just to get a code for a beta period that is going on RIGHT NOW.

For actual results wait until February, or March.

But if lots of people canceled the pre order the game wouldn't be sold out right now.

Do you know how cancelled preorders are handled?

Anyway we need to calm expectations a little here. It's 55th and 91st on the monthly so it's clear that Amazon hasn't had a huge allocation of the the game. And while these positions are respectable for a game 2 months from launch, we know that the beta is a huge factor for pushing the game over the last week or so.

While I expect the game to do relatively well, we need refrain from blowing our loads over congratulating Rare on success that isn't even there yet.

I'm not saying that it will be a hit or anything but I'm just happy the beta pushed pre orders.

Now I'm not sure how they work but I'm assuming that if someone cancels a pre order their copy of the game can still be bought so if all copies are sold out that means that's not many people have canceled their pre order yet.

Sea of Thieves smells like another Microsoft bomba to me, but I could be wrong of course.

In a simple world that would probably be the case. I'm willing to bet that there a more complex procedure.

It's not even that I believe many people cancelled their preorder but we have to accept the possibility this could be the case and that the beta might of only of bought forward sales to people that was interested and buying the game anyway.

I've checked out some more of Sea of Thieves and I'm impressed. It deserves success but I don't like this "I'm happy for you" nonsense based off of nothing.

Switch climbing back.
I really hope we will have news about games cause even if the only direct before March/April was the mini one, I feel like they just rushed their announcement. Like we need a new trailer and another push for Bayo 2 which is pretty much launching into oblivion. Maybe we will have a Direct soon with the switch numbers or in the same week.

Not sure what the budget is, but I expect it'll do well enough to not be a considered a financial failure. It could have legs. I just don't think it'll sell as much initially. I still think $60 is too much. I'll pick it up when drops to $30.

PS4 Star Wars bundle is sold out, expected restock on February 7th.

hmmm, Switch is still dominating .

EA really f***ed up with Star Wars: people seem to prefer the vanilla ps4 over the Star Wars bundle.
