The announcement is coming we just have to be patient. There is no way they are retweeting this for no reasons.

I'm feeling they are trolling us with the bird retweet knowing most every one of their followers are expecting them to announce a Nintendo Direct for Jan 11th. Based on all the rumors and "leaks".  Looking at a past event, For the Sept 13th Direct event, Nintendo looked to have announced it on Sept 11th in the morning around 11am EST, just two days before the 45 min Direct event took place. If they do the same with this event, January 9th is still the same two days before the rumored Jan 11th event.

they are 100% trolling they even used the word "directly" on their Facebook

I was gonna make a joke about pikmin 4 being leaked and post a dumb MS paint picture I made like 10 minutes ago but then I couldn't figure out how to post it without having it be an URL since it wouldn't show a URL, if that's even possible to do on this site.
