If Nintendo could bust out 250,000 units a week for the last three weeks in Japan, I’d be very happy. That would mean just over 900,000 shipped to the country for the whole month. If they could make it to a million, that’d be even better. We shall see!

Mario has incredible legs, it will hit 1m next week and has likely already hit it with digital. Splatoon 2 with a big week as well and about to hit 1,5m in japan.
Mario Kart is also closing in on 1m slowly but surely and Zelda will make it to 700k this year. I hope it will contimue to have legs into the next year and make to the 1m+ lt.

Xenoblade 2 with a big drop, but that is to be expected for a JRPG...in other news, pokemon finally hit 1m in media create single skus *explodes confetti bomb*.

If Xenoblade 2 goes over 160K (which it most likely will), then it will have outsold the highest selling Xeno game in Japan.

I wasn't trying to say that it was doing badly, I'm thrilled that it has been steadily outpacing it's predecessors and shows good growth for the fanchise.

It's just that the drop is big in percentages and I wanted to put that into a little bit of context.

Not quite. I would say around 10k of those are non-MH pros. So that leaves 35k for the MH bundle. It was very limited, but I read on ERA they should've shipped around 50k.

It did a little more than I expected. We'll see if it keeps that pace the next few weeks.



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Yeah, last week the vanilla PS4 outsold the PS4 Pro 3:1 so it's definitely the bundle that drove people to the Pro.

Nintendo is sending more stock to the west. Most likely because competition over there. Japan is a lock and will continue to sell out at least for a couple more months there.

Two things: Go Switch!
... and 2018 will be the 3DS's final year.
The numbers are good, considering its age, but it will be at Wii U levels by next year. At least they are still turning a tidy profit on the hardware now.
