He also says the numbers are bogus. Yeah, try reading. Big difference between 770K and 900K anyway.

it's anywhere from 750k-900k, we don't know yet. but that seems in the general ball park to me

And you were arguing the numbers are close enough so the OP shouldnt be changed, potentially being off by over 100k is not close enough.

Don't through Amazon U.K. Chart at him please. Let's see how it's actually done before we try to drill into everyone that it's a frontloaded failure. Jeez why do people get threatened by competition. To awnsers his question we don't know yet. Pro did about 250k npd last year. Xb1x looks to mash that number into the ground but we don't know yet. To be fair for whatever reason Sony didn't market the pro as much, but the flip side argument is ms needed to market it more because this this is expensive as f&@k.

The difference is Sony never needed to market the Pro. They always stated that base PS4 will stay the main focus and they stick to that. No need to abandon it and replace it with something far better, like Microsoft tries to do now. That’s where the initial difference in launch sales comes from. Low stock was also a huge problem. PS4 owners simply don’t feel the need to replace their base console, while many disappointed XBox owners were urging for it for years already. Logical or not.

I think a lot of PS4 users weren't impressed with the pro, but otherwise I mostly agree with you. Although ms has repeatedly said that it's not trying to replace the s. In the US sales will likely dwarf the pro's at launch, but I too agree that numbers will settle down. I think to around pro level sales by January. And I believe they will stay that way till the price comes down to 449, 500 is just too damn expensive for the market. If they don't drop price(or at least bundle) by may I think numbers will fall to under pro levels. Although maybe sooner if the pro stays at 349.

for  the record I think the pro is seling just fine for a premium console. Also wasn't bashing the pro I was also displeased with the x's crap  CPU.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Yeah, I expect Pro’s 349,- retail price to stay permanent next year and MS will have to bring down the price to be able to compete worldwide.. Possibly even in the US. They have already started to give 4 games away for free in the U.K. and stuff like that. Although this never worked for X1...They’ll need to slash the price, even if it means they’ll be losing money.

Very good numbers for all systems

Don't think the Switch sold out completely here in Canada, but it didn't go on sale

Yeah, systems don’t usually go on sale on their first holiday.

I think it was zhuge, or possibly another insider who said it cost about 480$ to make. So a price cut by March or April seams very possible. Phil spencer said a while back that if people react poorly to the price that Microsoft will react. It's only a matter of time till the price falls. I think it will be 399 by next holiday. At 500$ a console won't sell well beyond launch. Sony would have a better shot at pulling off a console at that price.

So those switch stock excuses are still a thing? Lol..
Fact is that the PS4 this November destroyed both Xbox ( without the x launch it would be a total desaster ) and the Switch that for a nintendo system already have like 90% of the big hits on it and yet it still cant outsell the PS4. When Nintendo brings a successor to the ds, the switch will die as fast as the wii u

PS4 decimating as usual.

I agree with you with everything, except the part about the 3ds successor, that's what the switch is.
