They can still go as individual athletes, that just can't represent Russia. |
I'll add that to the OP, that slipped past me for some reason.

Oh that's great then. Can they still win gold medals and stuff? |
As long as they're not doping, why not?
Shame on the Russian government. Shady stuff going on over there.

I think individual Russian athletes can still compete but they must do so under a neutral flag. |
That's good news at least.
Signature goes here!
Good. I was expecting to be disappointed because these things don't seem to get taken seriously enough.

I just feel that there are other nations that obviously have organized doping (e.g. Jamaican sprinters, Kenyan long-distance runners). Consequently they would need to punish them too and ban them in 2020 at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. I doubt that this will happen. |
There needs to be evidence. I doubt there's much evidence on a similar scale in other cases.

It will take a big hit, but will still be a solid tournament.

Basically they can't. I'm 100% sure that no one will go there. Because Russian government will definitely boycott the 2018 olympics after this.

But can't the individual athletes still compete? Especially if they don't live in Russia.
And on that bomb shell.....
Great they have the balls and I also hope they keep continuing the fight. It still happens everywhere.
And be assured, just because you think your country is free of charges doesn't mean they're not doing it.
Their Hockey team should be allowed.
F everyone else.
