It depends. All I remember it is a bit skewed with Ps2 only releasing in Japan for 8-9 months while. So yeah PS2 probably did worse the first 8-9 months compared to PS4 because it was only released in Japan.

To be perfectly honest, I probably have made those comments before, or at least thought about making them. I just said I didn't because A ) I was defensive of being repetitive   and B ) I can't confirm because I don't remember of the top of my head and my post history is long. I'm sure you can understand this, remember when you were accused of things you didn't even remember? If I did in fact say it before it was in Nintendo sales discussions though, which normally you wouldn't touch with a tenfoot pole except for on special occasions. So the minute you said "Do you say this for every prediction thread?" I had alarm bells ringing off and I could tell you were going to spin it in some sort of way.

I don't really have a problem with the thread except it's OP is extremely basic, it's obviously a thread you didn't make for actual discussion but rather just to gloat for when your prediction comes true. It's also your third thread today and at this point it just feels like you're spamming the front page with threads about the PS4. I think most prediction threads should have a genuine passion behind them and should strive for discussion, but literally the only discussion you care about in this thread is you being "attacked". Which is ironic because that literally plays into what I was saying about your replies and threads being too defensive and reactive. I think I just don't like threads or comments that are made for the sake of gloating. Because, while I think this will come true, I know that this thread will just be used to gloat. Remember how annoying it was when people thought the Switch wouldn't sell, and how Nintendo fans on this site are still gloating about that to this day? If anything, the most repetitive comment i've ever made on this site has been politely telling people to shut the hell up about that already.

PS4 should hit 100M between Dec 2018 - March 2019. So it definitly looks like a sure fire prediction at the moment.

Indeed if we align launches perfectly then PS2 is ahead of every console including Wii. But most people compare just from launch, so it goes Wii>PS4>PS2 so far.

Roger. This would be an epic feather to the ps4's cap. Fastest ever traditional home console to hit 100m sounds epic. 

What about other types of consoles like handhelds? How long did it take the DS?
