Now if you're talking in terms of market share than you are correct. 3DS makes up about 60% of all 8th gen console sales in Japan while it makes up about 30% in America & Europe.

Uh, it sold more in Japan than continents. Either the 3DS is underperforming in the other countries or it’s overperforming in Japan.

It definitely underperformed in America/Europe.

Which leads me to ask - what's the point of this thread if you don't want to actually discuss anything?  There are plenty of echo chambers on the internet where people will nod to every favorable rhetoric, all while squeezing their ears and shouting "WRONG" when the trigger word Switch is brought up.  Sadly, it seems like this isn't one of those places.

Yeah, I don't think cannibalizing is the right word... The PS4 and Switch are from different companies. Isn't that just competition?

It's crazy how I create a thread to stop this particular topic detailing the MC thread yet these retailers all move over here to do the same. 

 

It can't be that hard to read AN OP and directly comment on the Issue?

Are you looking for an echo chamber?  People can read an OP but it seems the only thing you are looking for is agreement not different theories.  Also your lack of numbers and links to the "real issue you seem to have" makes for a lazy OP.

 

All that said, you could be correct, the lack of new iterations / strong software could very well be a big part of what is hurting the PS4.

An echo chamber is one thing but coming into the topic to say "Dude, stop" - that's blatant trolling that mods should have stopped.
