News from the UK: Well over 300,000 games consoles were sold in the UK last week, GfK Entertainment can reveal. It was a big week for all major consoles, although PlayStation 4 was the standout success, with the console enjoying its strongest week except for Black Friday 2013 - which is when the machine came out.

And interesting: Eric Lempel, the senior vice president and head of PlayStation Network at PlayStation, told CNBC in the US that last week was the biggest Black Friday ever for PlayStation. Very strong sales figures for PS4 and PSVR. Here the video:

Awesome news for the console market.

The good news for PlayStation just keeps on flowing. This shows the potential of ps4 at $199 and I believe by next holiday it drops to that permanently.

BF is USA only.. irrelevant news =p

The sales were very close to 2013 then... fantastic news... waiting sony to disclose USA and WW and VGC to have it in about a month.

Lets take a look at Vgchartz numbers for BF since 2013 and try making a guess.

Now to guess 2017 numbers. PS4 had its best BF outside of 2013 so 140k or higher. It won so we know XBO is less than 140k, also MS hasnt made a statement yet so i think its safe to say this is not the best BF for XBO so it should be under 130k.

Im going to guess this is 3DS worst BF since its showing its age, so about 25k. Switch is hard to predict but 3DS first BF was 47k so ill say Switch did 50k since it has been more popular up to this point.

It's not just the best Black Friday out of 2013, it's the best week out of 2013. That may change things depending on whether or not there were bigger weeks outside of Black Friday.

Oh, come on, even here on Brazil we are doing this stuff! Hahahahahahha

It seems to be a bit big on the UK, they have good deals. On the rest of the EU they are also trying to push it, but right now it is mostly like on Brazil (fake discounts) so it is quite small.

We already know the worldwide numbers, they said it was 2M consoles (best BF ever for PS brand). Waiting for USA numbers.

It doesnt look like it according to this site, 150k would be higher than any week for PS4 outside of its launch week.
