Wanted to showcase the most current build PS4 as well as last gen's build the 360.
Could have used One S/X instead of PS4 (was Pro used) or could have used PS3 instead of 360.
The point was to compare though the 3 gens. You know last gen, this gen and then whatever gen you consider Switch in.

The PS4 and X1 versions are effectively identical. It's part of how the Pro version manages to hit a native 4k; the standard PS4 version has a lot of wiggle room since it presents little in the way of upgrades over the X1.

The Switch version seems to be based on the same version as the PS4. Likely a lower scaled version.
Weirdly enough, I kind of like the lower performing 360 version better from an artistic standpoint, particularly when it comes to water. The differences between the three versions overall are otherwise fairly negligible; what I mean is the differences are largely trivial.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

That was standard PS4 footage, looks a lot better than the ps3 version at least. I assume the pro will get super sampling and perhaps less pop in.

I feel like I always like darker shading in video games oddly enough ... even sometimes when it means "worse" lighting
One thing I did not know ... Skyrim remaster on PS4 also runs at 30fps, just like Switch. In docked the game runs at 70% of the PS4's resolution(900p vs 1080p). Also, from what Digital Foundry said, there is no resolution scaling in docked, only in portable. So, you can expect a pretty damn good port!
It makes sense. One thing people forget (especially about portable mode) is that they also need to make sure the system doesn't become uncomfortably hot to hold, which limits how ambitious they can get in pushing the hardware.
It's a shame there's no mods, though, as some of those "low res foliage" mods for the bushes and grass would almost certainly help performance as it does on PC's. It's amazing how well mods can get games running on hardware that otherwise had no business making it work.

Sits between the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in terms of visuals, which goes without saying considering that is also where the Switch hardware sits.
Poor resolution in portable mode.
Docked modes output is better than expected... But we need to remember this is a 6 year old, last generation game.
Still, for Nintendo gamers who have not given this game a whirl, it's a big win.
