Success if a funny thing to measure. Why use 3DS numbers to measure success? The 3DS is Nintendo's worst selling handheld to date. Also why use WiiU numbers? Wouldn't it make more sense to use the numbers of a console that was considered a "success"?

It doea not matter though, because I see the Switch doing 100m easily if they keep up with SW releases and continue to expand on 3rd party support. If they pull a NEW 3DS with the Switch 2 where it is retroactive, but allows 3rd party to make "Switch 2" only titles to keep up with Sony and MS new HW later down the line (like Xenoblade for NEW 3DS for example), then thats a wrap.

I think the reasoning behing that argument is dumb as fuck

But switch will sell that and more, so who cares?

I don´ t think the 3ds will have a sucessor and it doesn´t seem to be a good idea for Nintendo to create one.

The Switch must be both WiiU and 3ds sucessor. It can do what both can do.

Well if you don't have a good customer base then it's pretty much impossible to obtain large profits ...

Considering Nintendo is merging their handheld and home console business, they should aim for 100m. Anything above would be a great result, 80m to 100m would be acceptable, anything below disappointing.
