This 400k does not include digital.

Clearly VGC is undertracked, but they are also probably a month behind data wise as well.

Citation needed. It's understand that when self reporting numbers from a publisher, it's shipped + digital sales.

Too bad it's not digital. I am 100% digital, so can't take advantage of this. Plan on getting this game someday. I already have the first game DLC downloaded, just waiting to download Xenoverse 2 to use it. (I read somewhere that the first Xenoverse is only free for so long so downloaded it before it became a cost)

When you put it that way, not many cases.

But the Steam version is over a year old now, and has probably gone through multiple discounts.

The Switch version outsold it in 1-2 months at $50 (though I think it might be full price in some countries). That impressed me. 



Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Indeed. It's a good start, but I don't even think that Steam is bar for success. While some JP games have seen success, it's not going to supplant the console market for the majority of its target audience.
