As much as I loved seeing him poke fun at the idiotic controversy that came from his Breath of the Wild review, I just know there are going to be some people who'll take this joke seriously.

Is it not based on the grading scale though? 5 is failing, 6 is barely passed or basically failing, 7 is below average, 8 is above average, 9 is good, 10 is great. |
Not for other forms of media. If a reviewer gives a movie 3/5 it's good or at least pretty good. The same score for a game is considered trash. A rating system is different than a school grade. A 5/10 or 2.5/5 is in the middle of horrible and amazing thus ok. Why would there be 6 numbers to describe bad, 2 to describe ok, and 2 for good.
It's not
1 bad, 2 bad, 3 bad, 4 bad, 5 bad, 6 bad, 7 below average, 8 kinda good, 9 very good, 10 perfect
its stupid because a lot of reviewers use a star system with 5 stars. When they give a game 3 they mean pretty good then it gets translated on meta to a 6 and people think it's a bad score. I mean just go out and read a 3 star review or a 7/10 review. The reviewer usually likes the game but public always seam to think of them as bad scores.
Just go imdb and look at movie scores. A movie with a 7.5 is considered to be quite good not average.
Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)
halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)
x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

...I don't know about that...
Actually, I thought it's hilarious - he calls it GOTY contender, he says it's brilliant and then, in Jim like fashion, he gives it 7...I'm guessing to troll all the zealots that bashed his BotW review and Nintendo being dicks with Youtube copyright policies.
EDIT: Oh, I guess I find it even more hilarious now that I now few more details - someone photoshopped fake review on Metacritic (with 7/10) before he even actually played the game and some people lost their shit (he made a video on that)...and now in actual review he trolled all those tossers, who are loosing their shit again.

Preach. The rating scale in gaming is so out of whack. Anything below an 8 is looked on as trash. It's mind-boggling.
Jim sterling truely is the best troll out there. Shame people take what he says way too personally.
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).
