On the crowdfunding-platform fig.co is currently a campaign for the Pixel-Art-game Obelus. I think it looks quite good:

It is planned for PC and Switch and possibly (stretch goals) for PS4 and Xbox One too.

The horror! No 4K!
For the gameplay part: in the text of the campaign they explain strategies against some enemies. It looks like you have some tactical options and have to adapt to your enemy. Also the story allows for branching.
