You clearly recognize that your numbers for RE5 are a combination of the original and Gold. Why are you saying it's a singular release?

He is saying that its a singular installment, meaning that its a singular entry on the franchise, not a singular version.

But a single version of a game is what I'M talking about.

Healthy sales for RE 7.Having it sold 600k in between financial reports, it means that it sold roughtly 100k per month, which is a healthy number. And now having sold 4.1 millions after the disastrous RE 6(in terms of reception), it feels like a great result.Really which to know whos alt was from that Spacedelete guy that I had an argument with in the RE 7 sales comment section.I assume he will try to pretty much twist this news into something negative.

Other than that, MvC did not do well, and I even suspect that Capcom overshipped the game.Shame.

But not only its not what he is talking about, but you are making a disservice by only posting the numbers of a single version, when there is almost no difference between versions, and it just makes the numbers seem worse than they actually are.(which makes that statement of not having 10 million sellers on a single entry factually wrong).

At least thats my take on it, and Im pretty sure thats Wright take on it.

You might not care, but I'm telling you Capcom *has* a singular installment that has sold over 10m units, and that's Resident Evil 5.

I'm not sure if this is a miscommunication or you are not understanding what I'm saying.

Based on the Top 10 you posted, and its order, I infer you took it from their Platinum Titles Financial page, this one:

http://www.capcom.co.jp/ir/english/finance/million.html

Problem is, Capcom has a very weird way to display their platinum titles. There's only one criteria they adhere when doing so, and that's calculating the sales of a specific released version based on the time it was released. Resident Evil 5, originally, was only released for 360 and Ps3. The same year RE5 was released, it got ported to PC, but that's unaccounted by Capcom because it released at a later time.

With that in mind, you said the following thing:

"CAPCOM does not have a singular installment to any game series to break 10mill. Im honestly shocked by that. RE6 is nearly CAPCOM's top selling game but misses it by a measly 200k to RE5"

CAPCOM does have a singular installment that has sold over 10m and that's Resident Evil 5. By using only the first entry in their Platinum Titles financial, you miss the fact that the Gold Version, the PC version and the Xbox One/PS4 version are all accounted on later pages, which add to the total sales number of Resident Evil 5.

It is the same case with other entries on the list. Resident Evil 4 original version, the GameCube one, is listed alone at 1.8m. But RE4, the installment, the singular game itself, has sold more than that with the PS2, Wii and HD ports which are all also accounted in the Platinum Financials but in different sports based on the time of the release of said versions.

Then your number is wrong because the 7m figure of RE5 you provided are two different versions lumped together, the 360 version and the Ps3 version.

Nothing to do with numbers being bad or good, just that CAPCOM has not broken the 10mill mark with a single version of any game.

Will be interesting to see how far REVII can go. I think it was bound to decline (how much remains to be seen), but in the long-term, the goodwill might pay off.

Very bad showing for MvCI, but it's largely because of their unbelievably unrealistic expectations of 2 million for a game like this.
