Forums - Nintendo - Ideas for spinoffs or new games on existing Nintendo franchises

Kirby Air Ride 2, das all I need, expand on Air Ride and Top Ride mode, maybe throw in a new one, a story mode and of course, keep the greatest mode in the history of racers, City Trial.

Among smaller things, hope the new Fire Emblem lets me marry girls with other girls, if we are going to keep doing the marriage thing for the rest of time, I want that at least.

Sin & Punishment 3 and another Kid Icarus game, one for the whack story and the other for the funny story.

Mischief Makers 2, still a pretty unique 2D platformer after all these years, just some HD sprites or hand drawn animations, new story, not asking for much.

A Paper Mario game with story and setting in Odyssey's world.

I think an eShop Metroid title that takes place entirely in morph ball mode could have some really interesting mechanics...
But consider Federations force happened, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo never does another Metroid spinoff ever again...

Have a nice day...

It's not that hard Nintendo. Just do it already.

If they fix the damn jumping I'm on board with it... I better not see myself falling straight through the corners of platforms in the next one! :p

Given how hilarious Punch Out on the Wii was, I do kind of wish they'd just added those characters to Arms.

Otherwise... uh, I wouldn't mind seeing them essentially make another Warioware with the Joycons; really, it seemed bizarre to me that they missed such an opportunity to actually provide a super fun tech demo at launch rather than the bland weirdness that was 1-2 Switch. This console seems positively tailor made for a Warioware game.

I'm kind of struggling to think of much as Nintendo has actually been doing a lot of crossovers lately already lol

A Star Fox game that continues the continuity from Star Fox 2, while reintroducing Krystal as a badass warrior following Star Fox into battle, and no motion controls.

I think that the best course of action is either:

A)Reboot the series yet again(I know, Star Fox has been rebooted a billion times already) and make a formula going foward that works, like with Zelda.Or...

B)Continue the games considering that Starfox 64 is the only canon game and forget about the rest.64 is by far the most popular game of all the franchise, and its the one with the best shot of working without having to reboot the series again, because of how many people played and remember foundly that game. But it would still need to find a new formula, to reinvent itself to stay relevant.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

So what if it went back to the Star Fox 64 formula, but expanded upon that with a lot more levels, longer levels, and added new weapons or gameplay modes?

Could work!It just really depends on how they execute it.I personally would love it, since I love 64.

One way I was thinking was a new mechanic that had Fox send one of his wingmates in to attack specific enemies or bosses, kinda like in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II.

Im not familiar with that game, though it could be a nice idea.Maybe depending on who you send could make the level itself harder but the boss easier and vice versa?

A Star Fox dual game, same story told from Star Fox side on one game, and from Star Wolf side on the other, a-la Fire Emblem Fates.
