Ideas for spinoffs or new games on existing Nintendo franchises

I think an eShop Metroid title that takes place entirely in morph ball mode could have some really interesting mechanics...
But consider Federations force happened, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo never does another Metroid spinoff ever again...
