This site is really messed up on Safari. I can't even scroll down to the Hot Topics in the main page, it stops a bit after the Latest News section. What's up with that?

And then there's the comment section. It looks f'd up, been like this for months. It's like someone misspelled the code when programming the comment section and everything looks like a Notepad text. I like to be a part of this community, please fix it!

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

Can you add name changes ? Because since PSN added name changes we can probably do that here too :). The name I wanted was dx11332SegaSaturn?

I could be wrong, but I think the admins will probably do that for you. It's been done on a few occasions already.

Does anyone else have a problem with the Hot Topics Drop Down menu? The Sony and PC Discussions seem to have some different writing behind them. Doesn't affect the link, but looks odd. Might just be my browser.

Can you post a screen shot and state which browser you are using?  That will help @TalonMan in case it is something that needs to be fixed.

I knew that was going to be asked of me, which is why I've never mentioned it.  Haha.

Not really sure how to do that on a PC, believe it or not.  And I'm using an outdated Windows XP version of Chrome.  It's a work computer and will not be upgraded.

See if that helps get the screenshot...

Thanks! That did the trick.

Uh, hmmm....well.  I think the age of your OS and browser are probably at play but I can't get over the fact your left and right columns are swapped.

Ok...I'm sure it's just that I'm using an outdated system.  I'm sure everyone enjoys seeing my browser like it's an artifact from 2006, so enjoy.  You should see the dot matrix printers and the dos based program my store runs.

I swithed back to the default layout, put my browser back to 100% instead of the 75% I need to run it at to see the whole page, and cleared my cache.  If no one else is having that drop down overlay problem then it's really no big deal.  Just wasn't sure.  And my browser is an un-updatable Version 49.0.2623.112.  Living in the past is awesome.

So - clearing the cache obviously fixed the icon images, but yeah I don't see any way I'm going to be able to figure out what's going on there. My version of Chrome is 73.0.3683.103 - which means there have been 24 MAJOR revisions (not little minor tweaks) between the version you are running, and the version available today...    ...that's not a small amount! That's like wondering if this site would run well on IE7 (I can tell you right now, it would most definitely NOT!).

 - I can see what the extra "noise" is, at least - that fourth filter should read "Nintendo Discussion", but the "Discussion" portion is wrapping to the next line. Same with the "Microsoft Discussion" category. I increased the width of the drop-down a tad, which should HOPEFULLY allow those titles to fit, without wrapping (you might need to clear your cache again, to get the latest .css file).

 - The second thing I notice, is your fonts look different. This site was converted (for the most part!!!) to use the "Lato" font. I am definitely NOT good with graphics and fonts and whatnot, but to my unskilled eye, your font definitely does NOT look like the Lato font I see in my browser. Perhaps somebody in this thread knows why the Lato font doesn't appear to work in your browser and how to correct??

Thanks, that definitely fixes the issue when I'm in 75% on my dinosaur browser.  And that's what I thought it was.  Sorry to waste your time with something I realize isn't an issue.  Like I said, I just wasn't sure if anyone else was having the problem.  But at least I know how to take a screen grab now.

So, any thoughts on the "Poll" thing being added to the title of threads on the home page? I know this is largely a standard feature in every forum, but I have to say I'm not a big fan of it, it kinda causes this feeling where threads with polls have a different status, like you don't feel the same going into one. I mean, at least here in VGC I think people always put polls in threads that didn't really need them, just to have a little extra something, but now for those to have it in the title I think inherently changes people's mindsets going into the thread.

Maybe it's fine for poll-focused threads, such as the weekly ones, so maybe we could make that optional? Like, you can add "Poll" to the title only if you want to? Or maybe I'm just like, the only guy who's annoyed by this and there's no need to change it. Hmm, yeah, that does sound more likely.

It's all in your head. :) You'll most likely get used to it fairly quickly. To me, there's no distinction of status or importance, just the color yellow that connotes there is a poll in the thread. I think I get where you're coming from though. I was initially...not very happy about the addition of "likes" to forum posts. Now I wonder whatever was wrong with me, and have become an anonymous "like" fairy.

I know it's all in my head, since everything that exists is only my imagination. But about the likes thing, I think it'd be pretty cool if we just got rid of the "0 people agree" text for posts that haven't been liked. Reading that is always a little sad.

Edit: also, your post having a like already, which I suppose isn't from TalonMan, might mean that you (Talon) might have an issue of trying too hard to please everybody. As I said, this was one of those things where it felt like there would be conflicting opinions on, but you still went ahead and changed it just because I said I liked it better that way. Thanks for that, by the way. But I'm not the only user of this forum.

Ah, but it WAS me! MUHAHAHAHA!!!

...and it was for this statement: I was initially...not very happy about the addition of "likes" to forum posts. Now I wonder whatever was wrong with me, and have become an anonymous "like" fairy.

And I changed it because nobody else had even commented on it (other than you and one other person, who didn't seem to like it), so I figured nobody else cared one way or the other and it was easy enough to change to something a little less "in your face".

You actually did it.
