Now that there's an easy mode, hopefully I'll find the expansion less frustrating than the core game. I still liked XBC2 but far out it made me rage at times... XD

I can't believe they are giving a retail release for a DLC. That is so awesome. I am thinking about buying it just to encourage Nintendo to do it much more often. Also the DLC looks really good. Maybe I will do a 3rd Xenoblade 2 playthrough when all the DLC is out.

I hate to be a party pooper, as I too was very excited when a physical release was announced and planned to grab that version, but apparently the physical release is a download card in a box, not a proper cartidge release.
That said, the new stuff does indeed look quite nice and I am still looking forward to it.

I keep hearing that the story part is in a cart and the expansion pass is a code. The way Nintendo has it worded it on their website is confusing. I think I'll wait for more info.

I could be wrong, but to me it definitely reads like the physical version is just a download code, not actually the expansion on a cartridge.

Apparently the Japanese side has much clearer wording. Torna: The Golden Country is on a cart. The Expansion Pass is a code. Hence why it is a "standalone version".

It's so confusing. I'd happily buy the expansion on a cart, but I don't wanna "buy" it and get it home only to crack open the case and find an eshop card.

Hopefully they clarify this further soon. But I believe it is on a cart.

I hope it is; I'd much rather own it on a physical cart with that awesome boxart than have it eating up my Switch's limited internal memory. I'm just not holding my breath.
Shulk is the best support blade in the game now by miles, stacking his abilities makes the party unkillable when his affinity chart is maxed with the right set up.
