Well, I guess I'll be replaying this game. Blades carrying over definitely gets rid of a lot of hassle for a NG+.

I wish it had launched with the Easy Mode, wouldn't saved me a lot of suffering! XD

Being able to skip that Blade Bonding cutscene is also a big plus.

I probably won't be doing the New Game Plus though, if it means I have to beat the final boss again, that was just too much of a hassle. It's a shame cos I was kinda looking forward to doing another run through in a few years.

Sweet! I just heard about the Torna Drivers/Blades being added, but assumed that would be the 3rd Expansion Pass update (new Blades to be added). If this is all free that's kind of amazing. They're doing a great job supporting this game.

I'm guessing adding the three Torna drivers is just a fun bonus that won't be addressed in-story, considering they're Flesh/Blade Eaters and shouldn't be reborn the usual way. Now I hope Jin and Malos will be added at some point too. Rex and Malos can get a beer! In a few years...

And New Game+ seems to be everything I wanted, so I guess I'm replaying it! ...at some point anyway.

I'm working through side quests now, just about to get my Merc Group to level 5. Gotta say, it's fun finding new locations still. There's so much hidden in this game it's ridiculous. Nice that I have more excuses to increase my collection of Mythra against Landscape screen captures though.

Goddamn, man. I'm hyped to no end.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Those are some awesome updates. Also I am assuming New game plus eliminates the need to grind core crystals. Unless the chance to unlock a rare blade doesn't reset. Also this makes 100% the game much easier. This update is a godsend for completest.

I won't be playing new game plus anytime soon. I beat the game twice already and I am not going to start over so soon. I might come back once all the DLC is out.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

All the random Blades are carried to New Game Plus. Though it seems at least a few of the Torna Blades and/or members are going to be included in the gacha thing.

The next major update after this one I think is the Blade DLC which adds even more and the Quest DLC both hit in the spring period.

Alvis says that he is an administrative computer of a phase transition experiment facility. Meaning he existed in the old universe.

Klaus said, after restoring the new world, that he implemented a final measurement: The blades. Ontos, Logos and Pneuma. The three cores of the trinity processor. Ontos triggered a space time transition event and was lost forever.

Meaning Klaus had no clue where he went. If Ontos went to the world of Zanza, he would be aware of it. It appears he is not. So, Ontos went to a complete different universe where I think will take place in X3. Otherwise mentioning it would have no purpose, at all.

If Ontos is Alvis, the architect could say it that he manages the world of Zanza and we can close the chapter for good. But as I see it, he left it a mystery for further story development.

I see where it could be confusing but he doesn't seem to be including "Logos/Ontos/Pneuma" under "The Blades".

It's not, "And so the blades were born: Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma. The 3 cores of the Trinity Processor formed their cornerstne."

But rather: "And so the blades were born. Ontos, Logos, and Pneuma, the three cores of the Trinity Processor formed their cornerstone."

Its a small difference but a significant one; he's grouping the three under "the three cores of the Trinity Processor" rather than "the Blades I created as a final measure." The Trinity Processor existed prior to the Experiment; he refers to it in the scene where he's preparing the Experiment:

The pieces just doesn't fit for me. Alvis is an administrative computer, whereas Ontos is the core of the trinity processor.

As far as I can see, Alvis was from the beginning in the new world, otherwise I can't explain his godlike powers. Logos and Pneuma don't have such powers even if they where made by the same trinity processor.

Yes, the trinity processor was a part of the old universe recreated by Klaus in the new one. But nor Logos or Pneuma are aware of it.

Alvis on the other hand was a whole computer, thus possibily an AI in the old universe. That's why he is aware of what has happened.

It just doesn't come together and nor has it been confirmed. Thus, I am waiting for the story DLC or sequel and hope for a further explanation as what has happened to Ontos.

Well, when you bring things like alternate dimensions into play, there's no reason the universes of Xenoblade 1 and 2 have to play by the same rules. Alvis says he was the "administrative computer" of the facility, which is basically what the Trinity Processor is. Hence Klaus saying that Ontos initiated a phase transition event and disappeared ties in pretty directly into Xenoblade 1, where Alvis ended up in that universe and says he was the computer in charge of the facility that performed the experiment. It seems very clear the way I read it.
