Pretty sure it's the stores who determine the deals, not the console manufacturers.

Yeah that post was very reactionary to the Black Friday deals but I don't think the Switch could will outsell the PS4 or XB1 if Nintendo doesn't have an aggressive bundle or pricecut.

It's too early. This is where I am in terms of how I think this month will go:

Switch momentum strong, strengthened more by Mario and the 'fashionable' market.

PS4 momentum good, strengthened by deals, but will it push it higher than the 'fashionable' console or will it just increase its momentum but not above the 'fashionable' console?

XB1 momentum bad, helped by the potential sales of the XB1X, but after the initial spike of XB1X sales, will it sustain its momentum above the PS4, although I think it's unlikely (only unlikely) to sustain it against the 'fashionable' console (Switch)

At the moment, the Switch looks to be the console more likely to take this month, but that's at the moment. When we get a clearer idea of how XBX1 and deals affect the charts, THEN we can take a punt at who we think will win this month.

HOWEVER, even IF either the Switch or the PS4 win this month (sell more consoles in Nov), we can't forget that we've got to add in preorders for the XB1X, which could easily give it the sales win for the month, if you follow me.

PS4: Nov sales + extra sales to make up for XB1X preorders
Switch: Nov sales + extra sales to make up for the XB1X preorders
XB1: Nov sales + an undisclosed number of preorders.

No way I'm calling it yet!

I expect the Switch to have a good November but when Black friday comes and there is a $300 vs a $200 PS4/XB1 i think most consumers will go with a Playstation or Xbox.

Not if they want a switch, they won't.

I didn't know that pubg was getting a physical version. It makes sense that it is but for some reason it never occurred to me.

It's a retail box with a download code in it.

Ha! Of course it is! Might pick mine up at retail just for the useless case.

Eh, i kinda think this will be the case. I just don't see XB1 selling over 1 million this month, while the other 2 should easy surpass this number.

I think the XB1X won't sell over 300k this month, and the original model won't do over 500k, which is about half of what it sold last year. So 800k for the XB1 family, which is a 20% drop YOY, looks likely for now, which is better than the current 40/50%, but still not anough to match PS4/Swicth sales.

If X1 wins the NPD

No seriously Black Friday will make PS4 go second and Switch will win this end of the year.

SNES to beat them all :P

That Destiny 2 + COD WWII is a killer deal for 289$...I can see it with the 1 TB slim for 199$ topping the charts if supply is sufficient. I expect similar deals from other retailers including Amazon.

Glad to see Xenoblade finally appearing consistently in top 100s.

USA: 73 ; Canada: 53 ; UK: 93 ; Germany:135 ; France:41 ; Japan: 49 (LE) 61

Let's see if the game gets some traction now that SMO is out...
