It isnt as cut and dry as it looks. You know all those pre-order sales Xbox One X, in august and september?

third place in august: https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2017-08/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_videogames_pg_3?ie=UTF8&pg=1

21st in september: https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2017-09/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_videogames_pg_3?ie=UTF8&pg=1#2

All these pre-order will add up with november sales for this month. NPD doesnt include any of the pre-order in the month they were pre-ordered, but rather the month they were released. X1X august pre-orders werent counted for the month of august, but for the month of november.

Do you think i didn't already knew this? I know pre orders are a thing lol, i already accounted all of this, it just sold better than what i expected, that's it.

Pokemon: Hey Mario, is it OK if we take the top spot for a little while? It's so that we can squeeze every last drop out of the 3DS before we move on to the Switch. Please?

Mario: Oh, ok. But'a only for a little while! Then, Mario is'a number 1 again. Understand?

Pokemon: Yeah, no problem.

As of right now, XB1 is the leading system on Amazon's Monthly chart for November. https://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/2017-11/videogames/ref=zg_bs_tab_t_bsar

#10 Xbox One X Project Scorpio
#11 Nintendo Switch Neon
#15 Xbox One X
#17 Nintendo Switch
#35 PS4 Slim 1TB Call of Duty WW2 Bundle
#51 Xbox One S 500GB Battlefield 1 Bundle
#54 Xbox One S 500GB
#59 PS4 Slim 1TB
#78 PS4 Pro
#83 PS4 Slim 1TB Star Wars Battlefront 2 Bundle

The $189 deal (along with the $199 PS4 deal) will push an insane amount of units on Black Friday.  The S will most likely sell over 500K Black Friday week alone.

Well, in the end every years we see a 50$ drop in price during Black Friday.

2014 was kinda special because it was all month 350$ compared to the usual 400$
2015 saw a 300$ compared to the usual 350$
2016 saw a 250$ compared to the usual 300$

This year we'll see 189$ (instead of 199$ but i don't think 10$ will matter that much) compared to the usual 250$, nothing really new.

Also to be fair i expect pretty much almost every XB1 S sold in the month being sold during Black Friday, like, not really ALL of them, but probabily a good 80% of them, the rest of the month won't be strong for S because of Xbox one X.

By the way, i still think S drop will be pretty hard compared to last year. What really surprised me are XB1X sales which are better than expected, so if before i was thinking that a lot of Xbox one would have been S, now i can see a very close percent.

P.S

Also yeah i thought Switch was already head this month... well, i guess is still good to have them pretty close, expecially when PS4 is nowhere at this level for now.

I think the drop off for the s won't be that big 1million to 500k seams like too much. I think it will do 700-850k. Still a drop off but only around 20%. Also last November was a historically bad November for everyone.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

We'll see i guess. 20% to is a bit too low cosidering the recent trend. I think 30% at least. It depend on XB1X sales.

There isn't any indication that the One S is selling badly because of the One X. If anything, going by Amazon, the One S is placing the highest it has in quite some time. There have been pretty good deals for the One S this month and Black Friday never accounts for such as high split for November.

Also I would say going from $2XX to $1XX is a significant barrier breach for the mass market. We saw insane sales in 2015 when the consoles went $299 and a quieter November when they only dropped to $249. December picked up significantly from November but it could be said Black Friday was hampered by a less than stellar price cut. Reaching $199/$189 could see a massive increase simply because it is now under $200.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

That may be true too... i'll think about this when i'll do my November NPD predictions. What really could change all is how Nov/Dec split will be this year.

For some reason last year December was way better than November, almost feel like it was 2010 again. While all others years from 2011 to 2015 Nov/Dec have been waaay closer.

It depend if this year the split will be like in 2015 or in 2016, i think.

Are the deals that made the One S rise a lot this month also available at other retailers? I haven't really kept track, so I'm asking out of curiosity.

All 500Gb bundles are $249 (down from $279) and those bundles plus the 1TB  bundles come with a free game until November 18. GameStop also had a Pro member deal where members got a free $50 gift card with a 1TB bundle purchase thispast weekend

This is just a question so please do not kill me lol.....but

Is the Switch really having the stock issues still? I mean for like the past 2 weeks now I have seen them readily available in store at 3 different Targets, 2 Walmarts and 1 Gamestop......and I have been in the Gamestop multiple times along with 1 of the target stores and 1 Walmart store.....Heck 4 of my coworkers have got them recently and 1 got 2 for her 2 boys.

So is it online that the stock is an issue? Because in store they have been easy to find at least for me here in the US.....I know my personal experience is not definite proof but I could swear I have seen many others saying the game thing.

Again people this is just a question don't kill me. I was just really curious that's all. because It is selling a TON right now and I thought that was due to it being readily available along with the release of SMO.

It's primarily an Amazon only issue.
