Hey, admitting your own mistakes is actually laudable, not everyone is willing to do that. Any thoughts about coming into the Nintendo side of things? . It's a cool place to be.

I need a Switch, but I also need the Xbox One X (even though I can only afford one of them). I'll probably just spend the money I've saved for Christmas on family and stuff like that, and decide by the time my birthday has come along.

Nice, hope you enjoy your choice! We'll welcome you into the Ninty community if you choose Switch .

What's your prediction for Switch lifetime sales?

Hard to say right now. If they are able to cut the price in the near future (switch mini or anything like that) I can see it defn. selling between the 3ds and ds.

Most likely 3ds and wii u sales combined scince its their only system on the market this time?

But its no guarentee. We shouldnt forget that nintendo just pulled their biggest gun this year (Zelda and Mario (+ Mario Kart)).  We wont have such a year again in the near future. Pokemon will do alot too but thats basically it.

With releases on a big 3D Mario and a big 3D Zelda game (both 97 on metacritic), high sales shouldnt be surprising. It will be interesting to see how the switch will sell without such big Games bossting it.

You werent wrong.

The switch is a tablet that connects to your tv. Its a handheld first and will most be bought by Handheld gamers and nintendo fans (who buy every nintendo console nontheless).

People that arnt interested in the handheld mode and dont like nintendo wont buy the switch.

Also it doesnt has good 3rd party support. Games not coming to the switch:
- Assassins Creed Origins
- Star Wars Battlefront 2
- Shadow of War
- COD WW 2
- Destiny 2
- NFS Payback
- Elex
- Evil Within 2
- Prey
- Red Dead 2

Its basically a advanced PSP / PS Vita / Gameboy that connects to your tv and has some 3rd party support (similar to the wii).

Games not on ps4/x1

BotW

SMO

FEW

PTdx

MK8D

Splat2

ARMS

M+R

XC2

Pokemon

AC

FE

Yoshi

Kirby

MP4

List wars are fun

Difference between your and my list?

My list = only multiplats released this year or getting released in the near future (no Anthem, KH3 and other games that arent releaseing soon)

Your list = nintend exclusives (some which are far away like Pokemon). Even the 3DS or Wii U had those games while the PS4 didnt.

Wanna add sony exlusives to my list? Like

- God of War

- Last of Us 2

- Uncharted 4 LL

- Horizon

- GT Sport

- Ghost of Tsushima

- Spiderman

- Days Gone

- Crash Bandicoot NSane Trilogy

- Wipeout Omega Collection

- Detroid

- Final Fantasy 7

- Death Stranding

- Shadow of the Colussus

So how is it competitive ? Exclusives are nice, but it doesnt has the big AAA multiplat backup and because of its power, wont get it as well.

Come on, predictions are fun!

@ The bolded part: there's also Super Smash Bros, Animal Crossing and 2D Mario. It's also not unlikely that Odyssey and Breath of the Wild will get sequels on the system, and we'll probably get Mario Kart 9 too. And there will definitely be multiple Pokémon games.

Yeah okay so far ill say 70 mio.

The last Zelda game took them 6 years to make, lets hope they are faster this time (with same quality).

We shouldnt forget that nintendo basically abondend the wii u some years ago to prepare a great switch launch. If they would had released Zelda on the wii u in 2016, it might not look that great for the switch now.

Smash is big too, but AC and 2D mario arnt selling that much consoles imo. Also people that love mario/Zelda already got their system, no matter if they make a odyssey/botw sequel or not. We will see ;)

Yeah, so many prophets failing hard in their biased and irrational predictions, is actually incredibly satisfactory now, but at least you do recognize your mistake, it's something.

Look at the bright side, at least no one took you up on this.
