Forums - Nintendo - Sonic Forces Demo available on Japanese eShop!

1 stage for each character.

DL. Play. Opinions. I dont think I have never been so unexcited for a Sonic game but lets see can the demo turn that around if even a little bit.

Nvm. Demo only lets you play about 30secs of each stage...?

You can no longer pick up rings when hit. I could definitely see that upping the challenge quite a bit.

There's no way i can have a solid opinion about this game when the demo ends in 30s of gameplay.Wtf sega, why even release this?

Oh well, about the game: i'm a little scared. The modern sonic lvl feels to linear,i literally just press up and jump all the time, and i don't find the avatar stage fun at all.But again, there's no way i could know for sure, because the freaking demo ends in a second.

What concerns me is we only get one minute in one of the best parts of the game. Even with that said, it felt a bit, well, underwhelming.

I don't enjoy being negative or pessimistic towards games, but I don't expect this game to be good at all.

What does SEGA hope to accomplish with this demo style? If they're trying to say, "look how well the game runs on Switch", then ok, but it just opens the door to negative suspicion.

It could possibly be laziness. These are the same exact stages shown for show demo's (TGS/PAX) which would explain 30sec time limit (make sure no one hogs Kiosk, keep lines moving). They just straight up gave us that.

Watched the demo earlier... have to say it's one of the worst demos I've ever seen. Certainly not inspiring confidence; are they hiding something?

What kind of demo style they made....

I'm worried this will hurt sales. A good demo (at the worst) won't change anything. A bad demo can stop potential sales

I'm actually not worried. History has show us that every time SEGA does a full mutiplat release for a Sonic game it always sells at least 4mill regardless of quality (Sonic 06 hit 4mill ... how?) . I dont expect that trend to end. What I'm worried about is another hit to the Sonic brand and extension SEGA. They cant fuck this up after the whole regaining consumer trust mantra. Its important that they are consistent wtg quality of Sonic.

I just hope that the final product ends being good. The time limit is not a good decision in any conceivable way. It just gives a bad perception of the game.
