- Horse Armor lead to the DLC craze as it showed the industry could get away with it.

- Microtransactions are now rampant.

- Season passes and content locked behind pre-orders and paywalls are now common.

- Loot boxes have exploded on to the scene.

Some mad men here seriously think this patent won't be used?
