Why are the C-sticks on that mock-up asymmetric? That would be ridiculous. If you have the right Joycon, the C-stick is up and to the left, but if you have the left Joycon, it's down and to the right.

The mock-up essentially states "I am smart" which is when ideas become really dangerous. There's also the toxic mindset of "Now that Nintendo is successful, they should become more like PS and Xbox," so the result are such mock-ups.

On topic: Left Joy-Cons that have a d-pad would be cool.

The progression of gamers' mindset:

2016-  "Nintendo won't succeed unless they make a console more like PS and Xbox"

2017-  "Now that Nintendo is successful, they should become more like PS and Xbox"

Use a different Joy-Con.

A simple solution XD. And what do you think about the scrollwheel Buttons? in fact, Nintendo have a patent about it.

Look:

Pretty much just release a larger version of them. What little I've played the Switch, the Joy-Cons become increasingly uncomfortable to use in the long run. They don't have to replace the current model, just offer a bigger alternative as an option.

Oh, and the name. This is very much just a personal pet peeve and not that serious, but the name Joy-Con still sounds silly to me.

It is possible that Nintendo improves the Nintendo Switch. How would you improve the new Joycons?
I found this photo with good ideas, what is your opinion?

Remove the HD rumble, makeing the joy-cons cheaper, longer lasting, and lighter to carry.

Then pass that cost saveing onto the Switch package.

Even if its just like a 20$ saved type of thing, that would be worth it.

Like a Pro controller in a Bundle?

I'd add an IR pointer.

The cost of the HD rumble is mostly in the form of the R&D that went into them. Magically removing them would not make the console any cheaper unless they don't want to recoup their costs of that R&D

To many people just take each item in a console at face value and be like "oh this costs roughly this to buy" and add them all up thinking the system should cost this. They never factor in the R&D costs that the company wants to make back.

Also, the Switch does not need to be cheaper. It's a fair price.
