Forums - Nintendo - GamesRadar: How Nintendo took the Switch from unproven underdog to king of the Christmas line-up, in under a year

So another we underestimated the Switch article?

Seems like everyone did.

Tag:I'm not bias towards Nintendo. You just think that way (Admin note - it's "biased".  Not "bias")
(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true. 2nd UPDATE: I have no Switch 2. I am now behind

Yeah, a rubbish article, especially in the assessment of Sony's games and long development cycle. They totally forget about the variety in Sony's line-up and that the Switch games that are have been released have had long development cycles too since they basically stopped supporting the Wii U to make games for the Switch.

Damm PS4 is Doomed Again!!!!

I thought when Zelda came out that it was so strange Nintendo seemingly didn't hype it much at all. Imagine EA or fucking Activision sitting on something that goddamn good, it would have been ruined.

1) How surprising of you to say that ...

2) I would agree with you when it comes to the variety of games that is coming out on PS4 though, I think the autor didn't put attention into that.

3) But there's a difference between announcing a game that will only come out 2,3 or 4 years later for the majority of it's big 1st party/2nd party/exclusive third party line up rather than just knowing it's being developped before it's official announcement. Sony is guilty of that repeatedly this generation. Though, Nintendo did it with Zelda this gen and that's pretty much it.

3. The circumstances are just different. Nintendo pulled backed development on the WiiU to announced a bunch of games that would release the same year for the Switch. But that's not the main difference. The types of games developed by Sony studios are just bigger in scope and ambition and have longer development cycles in general. That said, you're still incorrect as most games release in less than 2 years. Even the much delayed GT Sport will released in less than 2 years after announcement.

Apparently this article is rubbish, and from what I've read, it's very pro Nintendo. Nintendo's doing well with the Switch, but I think this praises the company a little too much, while slandering the competition a bit.

Since im not bothered to read that......
Cutting the Wii U's life early, then matching the Switch release at the end of the 3DS gave Nintendo a better control of having 1 system.

Pocky Lover Boy!

That's an awful lot of words to basically say the Switch has good games.
