Forums - Sony - Andrew House Steps Down

It's safe to say he helped Sony get their house in order. House by name, house by nature. As a playstation fan, thank you!

Good luck with your future endeavours.

Looks like he recognized Switch and took his leave in order to not have to deal with the challenge.

Wow! After all the negitive talk last week I am not surprised. Glad he stepped down. Hope the new guy has motivation to expand the platform.

Sorry but your rant about them not expanding (simply because they weren't releasing a PS tablet or PS phone) PS business made little sense in my opinion.

He became president from SCE in 2011 and is now stepping down.

From 2011 to 2017.

2011 marked the first year Sony was back on top of the console market after Sony blundered the PS3's launch in 2006 and was trying to catch up to Microsoft's Xbox 360, meanwhile Nintendo thoroughly dominated the console market with the Wii from 2007 to 2009, and was still on top in 2010.

Under his leadership, Sony moved the ship back in the right direction to where the PS3 caught up and surpassed the 360 and became the leading selling 7th gen system those last 3 years, momentum that would smoothly transition with the PS4 to where it is now.

And so, with that. Mr. House, I only have one thing to say.

Well, um, he was certainly a guy, that er, worked at Sony. And his Japanese was okay I guess.

Hey, leave while you're ontop. Good for him.

This.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Awesome, I don't have to listen to his Mickey Mouse voice anymore.

Funny that he's stepping down now, right after his recent quotes.

Usually when somebody important resigns like this, it's the way they are dealt with, instead of getting fired.

Either way good luck man, you did a great job.

He was great, I still remember the epic PS4 reveal show with all the big shots of Sony's game division making it quite successful. Recent shows not so entertaining with Shawn Layden.
