Haven't seen much on this new game. Personally I've found it to be a great experience. Extremely focused, fun, and not overly time consuming. Feels like it fits in well into this generation's smart-phone gaming niche. With Remix 10 I now see that Nintendo recognizes the flat nature of the entry and appropriately jazzed it up
- The theme music for the Remix 10 mode is absolutely fantastic. A sort of modern techno assembly line aesthetic upon which all the popular tunes can rest upon. Furthermore, it seems directly inspired by the bold female vocals found in Super Mario Odyessey's Theme! Love that "show me your love" line. Simple, abstract, and done in a fun way that doesn't distract from the gameplay. What do you think?
- Then we have the flat design! Aesthetically this came into fruition almost a decade ago, but now it makes apperances here and there in mordern day design. It's extremely colorful and vibrant on the overworld. It also allows itself to pay homage to the basic design schemes of the original Mario marketing from the 80s and early 90s, while still feeling fresh as it hasn't been tapped into in so long
- Lastly, I see a conenciton here between Remix 10 and Super Mario Maker for Wii U. Mario Maker directly called back to the retro vibe, but then it had its flat design scheme all throughout the menus and overworld. What I'm saying is that this seems to be the direction Mario is headed in for the 2D franchise. So, how do you think this will all culminate when an actual canon 2D-Mario is released? Do you see the aesthetic connection? Or will they randomly drop it for a new release(I don't think they will).
