Wasn't the issue that Sony doesn't allow early access games on ps4? It's not like ROTR. But perhaps Epic forced them to make a 'finished' version for ps4 asap if they want that userbase.

They say all major companies, so the Switch may get it too? It'd be cool if they had XB1 + NS + PC crossplay, along with K+M support for all three. I'd like PS4 cross-play too, but don't see that happening.

Good news. The more systems the more the community can grow.

They don't have to worry about Fortnite, it's F2P, runs just as bad as PUBG and has big issues. I've already almost stopped playing it entirely. If they redesign the loot system and fix the shit gunplay and lag maybe I'll be back.

The only thing new here is they're in talks with "all" companies. Switch and Atari box ports confirmed? lol. They've already said whenever they release version 1.0 it should be on PS4 as well. It was announced at E3 as a console launch exclusive. We knew it's coming to PS4, just a matter of when.

Crossplay with PC or no go. Same with Xbox

It always seemed a bit optimistic that a game that was widely believed to be coming to PS4 would be an XBone (or XBonex even) system seller.
It felt especially silly when pretty much half of the gaming industry already has the means to make their own PUBG: games with big maps, guns, vehicles, multiplayer are a dime a dozen.
It seems Bluehole has realized that this could become as ubiquitous as team death-match.

There will be battle royale modes in tons of games going forward. But, many of those games will likely feature single player and/or standard PvP modes as well. PUBG likely has a small window, maybe until fall 2018, to ride this wave. By then, there will be tons of competition.

Same here.  There is a massive oppurtuninty for someone to take advantage of that huge ps4 playerbase.  

Fortnite is a good start and it's free.  I'd say it's doing big numbers right now.  The motor wars on gta is also very popular too. 

But seriously Ubisoft just have to implement this on some of their games.  Wildlands would be godly.  Far cry would be fun so I'd say they'll have this in farcry 5. 

Far cry primal would be unique though. And the mad max map and gameplay with the implementation of the storm as the thing you need to escape would be something else. 

Is PUGB free to play? 

Imo crossplay is useless and a backwards step currently unless your platform needs the players to stay active. 

Take rocket league for example.  I can't talk to the pc players and I can't even text chat.  Why would I want my lobbies filled with people who I can't communicate with?  until communication is shared cross play is useless to me.
