Ugh, I was always worried about this. This exact thing is why I always prefer physical media to digital downloads. I'm going to have to see what I need to buy now before it is gone forever.

Also, I am going to need to do the Wii to Wii U transfer as well. The Wii Shop is the only way to download it.

Well, I guess it was going to die eventually. But it's sad to see :( The Wii's Virtual Console is one of the best things Nintendo has ever done. Hopefully the Switch's VC ends up being good.
