I would too! I'm way behind on my PC games and there's just too many to keep track of so having PC conferences would be nice to give highlights of the big PC games coming out.

You know I was joking at first but honestly, this is something that has needed to happen for a long time. PC gaming is now very competitive and has a big install base and there's so many really popular games on PC, it's not exactly like the platform needs exclusives.

I want to see more of this D : http://www.battletechgame.com/

lol I knew you were joking but it is true that PC needs to show more, presentation wise.  There really are way too many PC games to keep track of.  It's like how there's so many mobile app games that you have no clue of what 99% of them, I sorta feel that way about PC games too.  The only PC games I'm familiar with are mostly the multiplatform one because they usually have a big enough market budget to show it, but im pretty lost for any 100% PC exclusive games.

That Battletech game looks pretty interesting as well.  I'll try to keep an eye out for that one too.

You can pretty much watch Jim sterling's ''best of steam greenlight'' series on youtube. That's why pc has so many exclusives. Shitty devs having the freedom to put their asset-flips on steam.

It's funny because PC this gen has actually had some of the biggest exclusives like h1z1(like 10 million sales on PC), ark survival evolved(5 million on PC), and Playerunknown Battlegrounds(10 million just in like 6 months, probably the best selling game of the year) not to mention games like Dota 2 or CSGo(technically on last gen consoles) that were already big. It's just that .. the games tend to eventually be outclassed by other trending games, and on top of that they usually come to consoles after 6-12 months.

PC games just rely too much on Steam advertismenets and word of mouth, which on the one hand makes a nice and organic community, but makes people forget about the games.

I think it will be delayed to 2018 : ( sad!

i don't know why you mean that every conference should appeal to me, that's not what i said

p.s. don't be rude only because in the WWW you didn't have to see the other person in face

Dude wasn't being rude...just showing you that Sony's scope is beyond your own personal tastes.  There are several Nintendo Directs a year that are mainly 3DS focused that I coudln't care less about, but I know there are many types of Nintendo fans.

but i didn't say that this my personal taste, my favorite type of game are jrpg's, but that doesn't mean i watch only the tgs. like i said at the beginning i'm watching too every sony conference during the year with a pleasure (if i have the time). but i thought with only 2 conferences during the year would maybe rise the number of new games per conference, but from the view of marketing maybe it's better this way

Nope, it's good for their marketing and show games and improve sales overall.

don't missunderstand, i'm always waiting very hard for the next game announcement conference from sony to see the newest announcements they have for the gamers, but at the same time i think there are at the moment too much conference to make every conference really interesting. We have E3, gamescom, paris games week, tgs, psx... Wouldn't it be enough or better to have only 2 conferences at year, but having more new game announcements at this shows (maybe e3 and tgs). From the time frame the 2 shows would be perfect, and maybe for the developers would it be better to have the time to prepare the games for the public...or do you think it's better as it is?

2 big ones: E3 and PSX

2 regional ones: TGS and PGW

I dunno, is good I think, plenty of games announced at each one, beats others who barely scrape by with 1 conference and still dont manage to announce anything.

And why would concentrating the announcements help?

I think that they have a great cadence of shows.

CES - January
GDC - March
E3 - May
TGS - September
PGW - October
PSX - December

They basically have 6 conferences a year, all targeted at different things. Then they do a few smaller events for specific regions as well.

The thing I would like to see change is a move back to the broader coverage conferences. Since the XBO blow up, Sony and Microsoft have shift away from anything non game related. This makes the platforms feel hollow, and unimaginitive. I would like to get back to the days where OS, Network, Services, and Apps, all have a place in the conferences.

Games are obviously the highlight of PlayStation, but it is a much wider reaching platform than games alone. I think a better balance of announcements during the conferences would do good to keep each event fresh. Maybe E3 and PSX can have some focus on Platform features (New firmware features, new network features), while TGS and Paris focus on indies games, then GDC and CES focus on creation tools, media, and productivity.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Couldn't agree more mate, it's nice to hear about new features. Games are the main draw of course but  there are more than enough of them at this point  haha
