Thread title should bare full info, imo.

If you know its also heading to vita/ps4, then the thread title should have that in it.

Maybe it was already announced before? Or was this the first time it got announced?

The point is more that OP makes threads about comeing to switch, when the sources also mentions other platforms, but neglects to mention them in thread titles.

Wait, something does not sound right.

Is this a remake, or something new?

S;G is pretty much perfect as it is.
I am both exited but nervous.

Wait wait wait.

So this is basically the first game being rereleased on the Switch. If so...

YESSSSSSS.

I wanted to play this game so badly, but was not in the mood to pick up my Vita to do that!

And it is just me that it bugs the hell out of my person as Steins Gate being treat like the anime came first, when the game is the original material?

That is what has me worried, I think it may be an adaptation of the anime, not a remake of the visual novel.

Oh and S;G is on PC too, Steam as well.

I want to play the game on a console, as has been the tradition(for me) for visual novel games. And Im more of a console gamer.

Hopefully they explain what remake or remaster the game is being based upon.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

The anime was great. If the games comes to the west, i'll look into it.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

PS Vita still getting third-party support in Japan is really fantastic to see.

The first game is on Vita, PS3, PC, PS4 in English.
The second game Steins;Gate 0 is on Vita and PS4 in English.
Fun fact, Steins;Gate 0 is on the XOne in Japan, but not in the West, odd.

The game is better than the anime by far.

That makes no sense, that is like saying you only play RTS titles on console...

Steins;Gate is available on consoles too.
If you have a PS4, go play it.
If you have a PS3, go play it.

I fucking love the anime! Me and my brother were like WHAT WHAT WHAT! WHAT'S HAPPENING!

But I've never touched anything related to steins; gate besides the anime.

You need to play the game(S), it's so much better than the anime. You have several alternative endings, each of them highlighting a different character, a lot more content (your point of view of some characters would definitely change), more explanations, feels...

The real info here isn't "OMG it's coming to Switch!" (the series is already on PS, Xbox, PC, mobile, anime... Calm down). It's that we finally have a bit of information about what is this Elite version. An animated version of the game, a visual novel, is completely different from what we had so far and really interesting, just like the Zero Time Dilemma principle for example. Can't wait to see what they'll do with it.

I would also love to see a complete edition mixing Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0, those who played the games know how it could be done to create a perfect experience :)
