Welcome to Watchmojo, and today, we're looking at the top five waifus of 2017!

Link from Breath of the Wild is one of the finest examples of waifu in the history of the world ever before ever. Now, many people have told m- I mean us here at Watchmojo that Link doesn't count because he is in fact a "husbando". But this is actually a form of cultural appropriation, as Link is wearing the traditional waifu Gerudo clothing, which seperates her from the male counterparts. After viewing many pictures on medical websites, it was concluded that Link does in fact have the genitalia of a male. When asked to comment on this earlier, my colleagues deduced "the dick makes it cuter".

2-B is one of the best things ever made in this century of all timest ever. While it is disappointing that rumors of a viewable asshole ended up being wrong, the fabrication still inspired gamers everywhere to stare into the forbidden zone. As men of Watchmojo, we are taught our entire lives not to look where our eyes don't belong! But isn't man's purpose ultimately in life to stare at the sun? We have been oppressed by societies "standards" our entire life. Now, it's time that we rise up, and allow men to be men again. #MENINISM #FAIRMENJUSTICE2k17

When it comes to a game about kids who are squids, there is a startling amount of waifus to choose from. Marina, is by far, the best yet. It will be hard to justify a sequel to Splatoon 2, knowing that someone of this status will have to be replaced. Let's be honest, if they can't top Marina, what's the point? Splatoon 2's waifu designs might in fact ruin the series, disabling it from continuing on any longer, but at the very least the developers should take pride in making a modern masterpiece.

After a freak accident where her tentacles disintegrated off of her head, Marina had robotic augmentations added to the top of her head and moved to Boise, Idaho. She then changed her name to "Twintelle", and became a competitive fighter in the popular sports series "Oyayubi to Oyayubi", or ARMS. With her more grown up and refined look, Twintelle is a serious competitor for number three.

Celica from Fire Emblem: Gaiden, or the more famous new remake, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, is a kind hearted soul. As the childhod friend of Alm, she's very relatable, as I'm sure we ALL have had that one childhood friend we just really wanted to get down and dirty with. We here at Watchmojo sure have! But it's really the gentle nature of Celica that makes her a waifu. She can be a bit ... argumentative. But she is certainly better than other options, like Zelda ......... eewwww.
