Hmm, I guess it depends on who you're asking. For some, it's sexual attraction, for others it's personality. Basically it's video game/anime characters, hence the "waifu" (the Japanese pronunciation of wife). There is a male equivalent, called a husbando, which I may end up making a thread on too if enough people are interested in one
