All tech companies are constantly suing each other. Almost literally all of them. It's part of the business.

Intellectual property law is largely bullshit. Owning ideas is ridiculous. But, that's the way it is right now, so this kind of thing is par for the course.

From an outsider's perspective, that seems like a pretty weak lawsuit. Perhaps there's more to it that directly ties the two, but Nintendo could probably win an appeal.
