Forums - Gaming Discussion - Rare/Obscure games running on emulators

You should make a thread about all the games you can "only" play thanks to emulation instead.
Like so many japanese only games, that never got released outsides of japan, and thus wouldnt really be playable without the efforts of fans that made translated patches to them.

FF7 on NES looks adorable.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

a Chinese unofficial, unlicensed "Shanzhai" demake by ShenZhen Nanjing Technology.

Chinese gamers dont got a PS1? still relying on your old nes? no problem, who cares about copyright anyways right? we ll just take the story and remake the game as a old nes game :p

Then somehow some fans translate it back to english.. and you can now play it on a emulator.

anyways... dorable? what? looks horrible (compaired to the pc version)

Now that's just silly. Resorting to piracy just because Nintendo hasn't come around to add those games to the Virtual Console. Some people just don't have patience.

A must-play.

Die Hard for the Nintendo 64, an interesting game that was never released:

This thread reminds me of the recently-found prototype cart of Sim City on the NES. I'd love to see that ROM get dumped, just because it's a neat piece of gaming history. Looks like it's just about the same game as the SNES version (obviously not up to the same graphical standards), but it's neat to see it even running on an NES.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

This is probably the best title for a video game ever:
