Is the difference between Pro and X1X  bigger than PS2 and GC  ?

So much power in sutch a small box, great stuff, i just watched all digital foundry content and those guys are hyped man, they even said the 4k claims are justified, i didn't expect that

The One X is in native 4K in the video and the PS4 Pro checkerboard 4K.

What Resolution is the ps4 pro checkerboarding from?

Native 4k 3840x2160 - X1X

Checkerboard 4k 1920x2160 - PS4 Pro

and higher textures resolution and AF filtering on X1X.

This is difference bigger than PS4 Pro vs PS4.

I would think so, yes, the memory bandwith and extra memory just unlock a complete different level of textures and stuff, the NGC was significantly faster and also has better textures and graphics in games used but the difference on the 1X will be much more easely used because everything is based on PC codes the extra power will be unlocked easely.

Looking back at NGC and resident evil 4 and stuff the difference was there but I do assume the differences on the 1X will be very significant especially on the 4k scope, as a pc owner i know the amount of memory in the PS4 Pro will just be a bottleneck in many scenario's and if you have low memory you need fast memory to swap the data in and out and a large bus, and all those aspects the 1X does have but the Pro is lacking.

The Pro would proberbly be better used as a native 1080p box with higer videlity instead of trying to 4k, altough the checkerboarding does look decent. But as digital foundry analysed the 1X is pulling native 4k off in many scenarios and in games where they checkerboard the graphical videlity is ALSO increased.

Looks almost 50% better and runs almost 50% better. Who would've thought when the X1X hardware is almost 50% better.

or atleast  (6/4.2) -1 = 42,8%

The PS4pro does have that "rapid path math" thingy, which if they code for, could speed up things abit.

Differnce between the two is probably less than 42%.

While the Xone X version supports 2160p and HDR, so naturally it looks miles beyond the pro version. Unless that gets HDR support too. Because the difference between full 1080p and 2160p are very much visible but not mind blowing to me. Unlike HDR which really let's a game shine.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

True but the Xone X also got more and faster Ram and a better CPU so the netto power difference is probably closer to 50 than 40 percent. Although 50 percent isn't mindblowing it's pretty much the same difference between PS4 and Xone S.

Memory amount is the biggest difference when going for RESOLUTION as the ps4 pro doesn't have enough VRAM for native 4k (any game I benchmark on PC with native 4k uses more then the total available ram on ps4 pro and the pro also needs to use the same ram pool for normal cpu data). The PS4 pro was build more towards the checkerboarding, the memory speed isn't just faster but the memory bus is also 50% faster, memory speed and bus size is very important for loading textures and other graphical assets, the raw GPU might be 40-50% faster but when used developers can make the difference in hardware much more obvious then when comparing ps4 to ps4 pro.

Demnishing returns? The game looks STUNNING on xbox one x. Hell, a gtx 180 will have a hard time pull this stuff off son.

A GTX 1080 will have a hard time pulling off the visuals from the XBox One X version of ROTTR?

Are you serious?

Because right now, the only thing that comes to my mind when I read such nonsense is:

But it does even with a 1000€ CPU

Nope it's 2160p checkerboard.

What is the difference is between native 4k vs 2160p checkerboard?

Checkerboard is rendering half the resolution and switching each missing pixels out for every second, 4K is two times 1800p in pixels

Lol wut?

Would you want to play MGS5 or CODBO3 on ps3/360 when you have an xbox one or a ps4? Or bayonetta on ps3 when there is a 360 version. Difference this much means the game should be consider a console exclusive and the other version should be ignored.

Yeah wake me up when Xbox One X runs games in 60fps, higher resolution and higher details over the Pro, like MGSV did on Next gen consoles
