Dear god the game runs at 2 fps and looks terrible.

Praying we get final fantasy world or something.

I'll buy it provided it's not the pocket edition.

Most likely it's a sidestory game in the Final Fantasy XV universe, similar to Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings on the DS. So it could be a very different game.

So that explains digital, thanks.  Is there a physical version of DQ 1/2? Is it two games in one box?

Trying to decide if they would have to downgrade FF15 to fix on one cartridge, or if they could some how include multiple ones.

Dragon Quest Heroes 1+2 is a physical release in Japan, both games on one 32GB Switch game card.

A bigger card would be more cost-efficient than multiple cards, but 64GB is quite daring. I'd say it's comparable to how microSD cards are in an affordable price range up to 128GB, but then skyrocket in price when moving to 200 or 256GB. For Switch game cards it would be up to 32GB that isn't a problem, but higher than that and it's not an easy call anymore. There are constant advancements in bringing down the costs of higher capacity cards, so it also depends on when Square-Enix would release the game.

But like I said to morenoingrato, it's probably not the actual Final Fantasy XV that is going to come to Switch.

I mean, if they ported the Ps4/xbox one version down to Switch it's unlikely to run above 720p docked, so they'd save quite a bit of space on lower resolution textures. That's probably not enough to fit it on a 32GB cart though.

Macronix said they were able to produce the 32GB cart at the price of a BD (wich is hard to believe, but I digress), so I wonder how much a 64GB would actually cost....

Yeah, there's no way it's gonna be the console version. That would be like trying to force the original DS to run GTA 5. Just not happening.

It could be getting the pocket version..

How does DQ Heroes 1/2 work? That game couldn't be installed on the switch without a memory card. Did they put a warning about that?

FF15 is a big game. 50 gigs (not counting updates since then).
170 GB on PC.

I'm positive Nintendo can make cartridges with bigger storage, especially when it comes to this kind of third party game, plus if it is say 720p with fixed textures  the storage needed should shrunk considerably

I think if it was going to be the pocket addition they would have said this teaser following that segment of their presentation, rather than waiting until after the console FFXV portion of it. Because of that and their not hinting at the pocket addition at all (which they must realize could be a disappointment to some), I think the odds favor it being the console version.

Really, it's easier today than ever before to scale down games to meet certain hardware standards; it's not as impossible as it sounds unless they make it difficult by trying to preserve many of the different visual settings (such as that hair engine that games have been using to the point that it has almost become distracting) and resolution/scaling, but people should not expect it to look anywhere close to the Pro version. In my experience, Switch users never do, though, and are usually quite happy if they receive a port that runs fairly well.

I wouldn't be at all disappointed if it turned out to be the mobile version though, as I honestly don't care for the character designs in FFXV (was a huge turn off for me), but the character models in the pocket version look quite cute. If it were a little cheaper that'd be a bonus, but either way I think I'll get this one and finally play FFXV, assuming it plays well. Unfortunately, with Square Enix not getting it to run well even on the Pro, I have no reason to believe it will.
